Peer Mentoring Program:

This program is a support service for older adults who are lonely, homebound or facing issues of personal loss.  Volunteers, aged 55 or older, participate in a training program that includes information on a range of issues unique to the aging population.  After completing the 2-session training, the volunteers visit and provide companionship for those identified as needing this service.  Periodic meetings and frequent communication with the volunteers gives them the support needed to provide this extremely valuable service to our community.

Please call 815-758-4718 to participate as a volunteer.

The Senior Services Center is a designated warming/cooling location and is open to all members of the community during business hours.
